The Smart Way to Keep Knives Sharp
A honing steel isn’t a whetstone — and that’s the point. Where a coarse stone grinds metal away, this rod gently realigns the microscopic “teeth” of your blade that fold over during daily use. A few quick passes keeps your edge true and cut-ready between professional sharpenings, extending the life of every knife you own.
Why You’ll Love It
- Stainless steel core – Durable, corrosion-resistant, and built for years of consistent edge maintenance.
- Ergonomic, slip-resistant handle – Food-grade polypropylene with a matte finish gives you a secure grip even when your hands are wet.
- Practical 10″ rod – Ample surface area for a smooth, consistent stroke on everything from small paring knives to large chef’s knives and cleavers.
- Built-in safety – An integrated finger guard protects your hand, and the hanging loop keeps the steel within easy reach.
- Balanced and easy to handle – Comfortable weight for controlled, effortless honing.
- Works with all your knives – Compatible with any straight-edge kitchen knife.
How to Use
Hold the steel vertically with the tip resting on a stable surface. Draw each side of the blade down the rod at a 15–20° angle, alternating sides for 4–6 strokes. Use it every other time you pick up your knife. Hand wash and dry after use.
